Motivational Strategies
In the field of motivation research, Dörnyei (2001) proposed 35 research-driven motivational strategies. However, there has been a lack of research investigating teachers’ beliefs on those strategies and their classroom practices (Karimi & Zade, 2019; Waddington, 2018). The purpose of this case study is to make Dörnyei’s (2001) motivation-inducing strategies accessible by incorporating the teacher’s perspectives through interviews. Based on the interview results, training materials were developed and shared with the teacher, and the teacher was encouraged to implement the strategies in classrooms. Subsequently, a post-instruction interview was conducted to examine the teacher's beliefs about motivational strategies, their classroom implementations, and the accessibility of the materials.
